Website Mediation Costs
Please note that the information on this page relates to mediation in person. We also offer telephone mediation, with no direct preference for either except which will be most effective in helping solve a dispute.
Each party agreeing to mediation is asked to contribute towards the cost. A generally accurate guide table is below but this is a guide, each situation is different and our aim is keeping costs to a minimum. In most cases fees are split between parties, so you pay half the amount shown.
User contributions: May 2011 for 12 months
| Business Sector | Setting Up Fee |
Half Day | Full Day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Community Unit or Charity | £75 | £150 | £250 |
| Sole Trader or New Business (Under 1 Yr) | £100 | £200 | £325 |
| Small Business | £125 | £250 | £400 |
| Medium Sized Business | £150 | £300 | £475 |
The setting up fee includes all communication and a technical evaluation. Although common practice, we do not raise fees according to amounts involved in a dispute. We understand why this happens but prefer to simply charge for our input.
Variations in Cost
Mediation can involve separate meetings before a joint session. These normally take place within the same day and location but if not, this may amend cost, along with venue hire if needed, or the mediator's travel expenses. All fees are however totally transparent, as we hope is our mediation service:
